Discipline of the Dark Star Head vs Edge of Extinction

Trading a Discipline of the Dark Star Head for a Edge of Extinction is currently a fair swap in Dota 2. Both items sit at almost the same market value ($0.43 vs $0.43), so a one-for-one trade leaves neither side meaningfully ahead.

There is a liquidity catch here — Edge of Extinction (demand 10/10) sells itself, whereas Discipline of the Dark Star Head (demand 2/10) can be slow to move. Value-equal is not always trade-equal when one side is much harder to re-trade.

On recent form, Discipline of the Dark Star Head has held steady this week and edge of Extinction has held steady this week. Over 30 days the moves are 0% and 0% respectively, with low volatility on Discipline of the Dark Star Head and medium on Edge of Extinction.

Both are Rare rares, so this is a like-for-like Dota 2 trade — the decision comes down to value, demand and momentum rather than rarity tiers.
